Machik Fellowship
The Machik Fellowship is awarded to exceptional change-makers from Tibet who are committed to service in Tibet, and defined across many disciplines.
Norpu Droma, Machik Fellow 2021
Norpu Droma, or Nordron, was born and raised in Tibet. In 2017, she graduated with a MA from the University of Virginia in Religious Studies. Her studies focused on Tibetan Buddhism and she has a strong interest in Himalayan Art and Tibet Studies. Nordon is currently the 2021 Machik Fellow and Community Co-chair of Machik Fest.

Kunchok Kyid, Machik Fellow 2020-2021
Kunchok Kyid was born in Dzorge, Ngawa, Tibet to a pastoral family. She completed her Bachelors degree at the Central University for Nationalities in Beijing and has traveled to New Jersey to pursue and successfully complete her Master's degree at Rutgers University. Kunchok joined as a Machik Fellow from 2020 to 2021 and made valuable contributions to programming such as Khabda and Machik Fest.
