For the first time since the pandemic, the Lindsay Benefit Dinner returned this year, marking the revival of Machik’s original international community gathering and its largest annual fundraiser. The event once again brought together supporters, friends, and community members in a shared commitment to Machik’s mission for Tibet.
The Lindsay dinner was first initiated in the 1980s by factory workers Tsering Rabgey and Pencho Rabgey, who organized the gathering to raise funds for urgent care needs of newly arrived Tibetan refugees in the settlements of South India. What began as a grassroots community effort gradually grew in scale and impact.
With the early support and long-term stewardship of Kathy Anderson and Peter Anderson, the dinner has evolved into a cherished annual event on the local community calendar, continuing to bring together supporters committed to Machik’s work for Tibet.
