Machik Mammogram Screenings, Mundgod

For the second year, we offered free mammogram screenings for Tibetan and other local women in Karnataka. We are truly grateful to our key partner, Poorna Sudha Cancer Foundation, based in Bengaluru. Earlier this year, we hosted screenings in Bylakuppe and Hunsur. Next, we worked with our local partners, Dr. Dhondup Tashi (2023 Dr. Bettegowda Awardee) and Dr. Tenzin Passang of Mundgod, Karnataka, to host a three-day screening for approximately 40-50 women per day.

Special gratitude to the dedicated teams at the Orange Diagnostic Lab, a Tibetan-led clinic in Bylakuppe, and also to the Hunsur Tibetan Healthcare workers and to the Poorna Sudha Cancer Foundation which brings a fully equipped mammogram bus to serve rural women.
