Friends of Chungba Organize Dye Day
Friends of Chungba work closely with Machik Canada to sell their crafts at the annual Machik Lindsay Dinner, this year on Saturday, 25 October in Lindsay, ON. Machik’s annual Lindsay Benefit Dinner was held on Saturday, October 25, 2015 in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. They have already had 3 ‘sewing session’ days, producing gifts for purchase for the impending holiday season, for both children and adults, as well as a tempting new line of bags and purses! The three upcoming creative sessions before the October dinner will, no doubt, produce yet more marvelous crafts.
On August 11th, many gathered for the annual “dyeing” session to turn scarves and bamboo socks into original works of art. The participants created unique designs using bleeding art tissue paper, procion dyes and even ice-cubes!
Many thanks to all the women for their continued creativity and commitment, led by Sandra Runk, Kathy Anderson, Dale Sutton and Tsering Rabgey, and including Carolyn Van Alstyne, Glenda Morris, Julie Hale, Janet Warren, Vera Lohse, Dale Sutton, Lisa Kapp.
