For the first time since the pandemic, we are excited to be bringing back the Lindsay benefit dinner, the original Machik international community event and still our biggest fundraiser of the year! The Lindsay dinner was begun in the 1980s by factory workers Tsering and Pencho Rabgey to raise support for urgent care needs of recent Tibetan refugee arrivals in the settlements of south India. With the early support and long term stewardship of Kathy and Dr. Peter Anderson, the grassroots dinner has grown to become a beloved event on the local calendar.
Don't miss this chance to connect with new and old friends, hear inspiring guest speakers and Tibetan performers, enjoy Tibetan-Asian fusion cuisine courtesy of Karma's Café of Peterborough ON, and generally have an all-round excellent evening for the cause of strengthening and empowering Tibetan communities!
The 17th Machik Lindsay Dinner will be held on Saturday 4 May in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. The evening will feature Tibetan performances, an auction, guest speakers and more. We are truly grateful for the dedicated community of residents from Lindsay area who have organized this dinner for 16 years, for up to 200+ participants, to support countless Machik initiatives for Tibetan education and empowerment in Tibet and the diaspora.
For tickets, please email [email protected]. If you can't join the dinner in person, please consider purchasing a ticket for a student! Thank you!
