We are pleased to share with you an update on the 3rd annual Machik Mammogram Screening Program and a drive to support women and children in need. Since 2023, we have reached 300+ women in Bylakuppe, Hunsur and Mundgod with free mammogram screenings. Early detection is key, and so, woman with early-stage tumors received timely treatment from local healthcare workers. Building on this effort, we are expanding the program to include women at Kollegal Tibetan Settlement. This project is possible through the dedication of our local partners:

📍 March 18 : Hunsur
📍 March 19-21 & 26: Bylakuppe
📍 March 23-24: Kollegal
📍 October 9-10: Mundgod
Eligibility:
If you know of people in these areas who may wish to have a free mammogram, please share about the importance of early detection and screenings. A Tibetan-language mammogram awareness brochure is also available to download. We deeply appreciate the commitment of all who are involved, including volunteer Tenzin Dechen. If you wish to support this vital health initiative, please contact us at [email protected].
Also this month, we are supporting House of Ruth, a nonprofit in DC that has served thousands of women, children and families in Washington DC since 1976. From now until the mid April, we will participate in an In-kind Donation Drive for immediate needs such as laundry and hygiene items, linens, and more.
